Seems like this time two years ago (really…it was that long ago?) I was making plans for the first vacation I’d had in years, and get this: it was just the girls! from my childhood was going to the local carnival, which was actually more like a festival, since there were no rides or anything. But they had food, games, entertainment, and a wide assortment of goods for sale from handmade clothing and toys to furniture. I worked for a (different) major retailer and that pretty much became my life. I was in school during the day, then worked nights there part time. My grandfather owned one of the simplest, yet prettiest old Victorian houses I’ve ever seen. Sure, it had its share of problems, such as (but not limited to) poor insulation, inferior wiring and plumbing, lead in the paint and windows. Still, it was a huge part of my heart and soul.
